Rekha inspires Kangana's look in Shootout At Wadala'



Actress Kangana Ranuat, who will be playing a gangster's girlfriend in 'Shootout at Wadala', says she drew inspiration from Bollywood diva Rekha and the late Smita Patil for the 70s look in the film.
 Kangana plays Vidya Joshi, girlfriend of gangster Manya Surve, played by John Abraham. "I play a Maharashtrian girl. As the film is set in 70s and early 80s, my look is also pretty much similar to that period. We have kept the look as authentic as we could," Kangana told reporters here at the unveiling of the first look of 'Shootout At Wadala'.
  "For my look I took inspiration from Smita Patil and Rekhaji. Fashion is a factor in the film but it is not over the top," she said. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the film also stars Anil Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Mahesh Manjrekar and Ronit Roy.

Indecent proposals are norms in Bollywood: Riya



Actress Riya Sen has admitted that she had some bad experiences in Bollywood , and came across to indecent proposals. Talking to media persons at the launch of author Neeta Shah in her new book "Bollywood Striptease".
 The writer has claimed in her book that it has become a trend in the Hindi film industry where Riya endorsed her thought as veracity by saying that she too came across with such offers in past.
 She said her journey has been very different because she was not so ambitious. But, what was being offered, not decent.

Meryl Streep 'feels like a kid' after Oscar win


Veteran actress Meryl Streep feels like a kid again after picking up the Academy Award for her performance of Margaret Thatcher in 'The Iron Lady'.
 The 62-year-old star won twice before, most recently 30 years ago, and she says she is shocked to have be awarded the prize for a third time, reported E! online.
  "I thought I was so old and jaded, but it was just thrilling. It's like I was a kid again. I was a kid when I last won. It was 30 years ago. Two of the nominees were not even conceived," she said.
  Despite only making USD 61 million at the cinema, 'The Iron Lady' has won a multitude of awards - in addition to Streep winning the Academy Award for Best Actress, she has also won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA.
